Sports College

Through the power of sport we are inspired and motivated to providing high quality PE through a broad and balanced adapted and modified curriculum for all students as well as developing an appropriate, competitive and challenging sporting programme at all levels both within school, against other schools and in the community.

Additionally as a Project Ability lead school supporting other schools across Kent with inclusive PE we are able to further develop and enrich the lives of all our pupils and the community through sport.

The school excels in Powerchair football, Boccia, Swimming and Indoor Rowing.

Ofsted 2014

PE and sport observed was solidly good with much of it being judged outstanding. This strength of the School was recognised by the wider impact that PE and sport has in the School. The report says that ‘extensive opportunities to participate in a wide range of sporting and competitive events promote exceptionally well pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.’ Local, regional and national competitions all form part of what students are involved in and they achieve an exceptionally high standard.
