THERAPY ASSISTANT ONE-TO-ONE

Full Time - School Term Time only - Permanent

37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

with an option for 40 hours per week including one late to 7.00pm for after-school club

£11.15 per hour - £18,991 to 20,257 actual salary per annum for 39 working weeks and 6.4 weeks’ paid holiday

PLUS a 'golden hello' payment of £1,000*

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant post at Valence School.   This is a new post that has been created to form part of a small team of staff working with one of our students providing care and therapeutic interventions. You will be based in the student’s classroom and will be supported by therapists from Occupational and Physiotherapy and also Speech and Language therapy.

This post would suit anyone who may be interested in a future career in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language therapy.

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm - Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm

39 working weeks - 6.4 weeks’ paid holiday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant post at Valence School.   This new post has been created to support the physical needs of our students and you will be part of a multi-disciplinary therapy team and will primarily be supporting land and water based exercise programmes.  There will also be the opportunity to work with Physiotherapy, Occupational therapists and Speech and Language therapists.

This post would suit anyone who may be interested in a future career in Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy or in a sports related career.

Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.  We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT).

Applicants should be able to demonstrate recent experience of working with children/young people in relevant settings.  We are also looking for applicants who can demonstrate some experience, knowledge and understanding of working with people with physical, learning and communication difficulties.
