An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant post at Valence School.   This is a new post that has been created to form part of a small team of staff working with one of our students providing care and therapeutic interventions. You will be based in the student’s classroom and will be supported by therapists from Occupational and Physiotherapy and also Speech and Language therapy.

Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.  We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT).

Applicants should be able to demonstrate recent experience of working with children/young people in relevant settings.  We are also looking for applicants who can demonstrate some experience, knowledge and understanding of working with people with physical, learning and communication difficulties.

This post would suit anyone who may be interested in a future career in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language therapy.
