Assistant Principal (Curriculum & Students)
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
(Curriculum : Students)
Full Time 1.0 FTE - Permanent
Leadership Range: L11 - L16 (£58,017 to £65,450)
Are you an experienced middle leader seeking further promotion?
Do you have a proven track record of providing high-quality education to young people regardless of the barriers they face?
We have a unique position that will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to develop as a senior leader.
Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties. We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT).
The ‘Teaching and Learning Leadership Team’ (TLLT) at Valence currently consists of the Vice Principal, 2 Assistant Principals (Curriculum & Students) and 4 Lead Teachers. Both the current Assistant Principals are experienced Senior Leaders who will be reducing their working hours from September 2023. This provides a wonderful opportunity for a new Assistant Principal to work with both in supporting identified areas from each job role. Although not essential, familiarity and/or experience of the Primary Phase would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will join an experienced group of senior leaders and applications are welcome from colleagues with experience of specialist provision or from those working in a mainstream provision wishing to take on a new challenge.
Visits to the school would be warmly welcomed.
