School Cleaner (Domestic Assistant)

SCHOOL CLEANER

25 hours per week, 9.30am to 2.30pm, Monday-Friday 

£14,338 actual gross p.a.(£11.44 per hour)

Part Time - Term Time Only + 4 weeks during holiday periods (43 working weeks and 7.14 weeks paid holiday)

Join our friendly Domestic Team in the picturesque setting of Valence School, located in Westerham, Kent.

Valence School is a Kent County Council Foundation residential and day Special School for students from age 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning difficulties. We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT) and have a large, dedicated staff team of over 200 people providing specialist teaching, social care, therapies and nursing care.

As a School Cleaner you will be required to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in our teaching, residential, office and clinical areas.  You will be able to work confidently as part of a team and individually and be self-motivated, personable and have a proactive, positive attitude.  Ideally you will have knowledge of methods of cleaning different areas/surfaces and be aware of Health & Safety requirements.

Experience of cleaning in an educational or healthcare environment is desirable.  We offer a supportive, friendly working environment in a country school setting along with continuous training opportunities.
