ICT Helpdesk Technician

Full Time - 37 hours per week - All Year Round

£13.00 per hour - £25,077 gross p.a.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to start a career working in ICT support and you will assist in the delivery of first line IT support throughout the school including deploying IT hardware and software to users.  You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and technical skills together with the ability to work accurately under pressure.  A good general education, computer literacy and a ‘can do’ attitude is required along with the ability to work well in a team.  Prior experience in an IT role is desirable. 

Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people aged 4-19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties. It is part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust.

SCHOOL CLEANER

Part Time : 30 hours per week : 7.30am to 2.00pm

Term Time + 4 weeks deep cleaning during holiday periods

£17,207 actual gross p.a.(£11.44 per hour)

Join our friendly Domestic Team in the picturesque setting of Valence School, located in Westerham, Kent.

As a School Cleaner you will be required to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in our teaching, residential, office and clinical areas.  You will also be responsible for supervising the stock and inventory management.  You will be able to work confidently as part of a team and individually and be self-motivated, personable and have a proactive, positive attitude.  Ideally you will have knowledge of methods of cleaning different areas/surfaces and be aware of Health & Safety requirements.

Valence School is a Kent County Council Foundation residential and day Special School for students from age 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning difficulties. We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT) and have a large, dedicated staff team of over 200 people providing specialist teaching, social care, therapies and nursing care.

Experience of cleaning in an educational or healthcare environment is desirable.  We offer a supportive, friendly working environment in a country school setting along with continuous training opportunities.

General Maintenance Assistant

40 hours per week - Term Time Only + 2 weeks 

Set shift rota between 7.00am and 6.00pm

£12.00 per hour - £22,968 gross p.a.

As the General Maintenance Assistant you will join a growing, friendly team responsible for day to day maintenance issues within the school.  You will support the Site Manager & Facilities team to ensure the delivery of a safe and secure environment that is maintained and developed for all students, staff and visitors and ensure that all facilities are kept to a high standard of repair and appearance.

You will have experience of site maintenance and knowledge of relevant legislation. You will develop and maintain good working relationships, be pro-active and have a reliable attitude.  Self motivation and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision, a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise are required.  You must also have a full, clean driving licence for this post.
