Examination Results 2025

This year, 42 Valence students received a range of subject qualifications at Entry Level, BTEC, Cambridge Technicals, and GCSE. This is our highest number of students achieving qualifications to date. A huge 126 qualifications were awarded in total, again our highest figure on record. This included an increase in the total number of GCSE examinations taken (62 entries), 13 more than last year. 44% of these qualifications were grade 4 or above. This was an increase of 3% from last year, with the number of students receiving qualifications at grade 6 or above also increasing by 2%. 55% of Entry Level qualifications were awarded at the highest level.

These results represent how diligent and passionate our students are about their studies and reflect the talent we have here at Valence. When these results are added to those gained last year, they will provide our students with important currency to access their next steps. We are so proud of our students, who, despite facing many barriers, have worked hard and demonstrated their academic potential. Thank you to all the teachers and support staff who have ensured students have been able to access their examinations and coursework, enabling them to achieve so highly.

In 2021, we used Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs). We aimed to make sure that students had the greatest opportunity to show the full breadth of their knowledge and understanding based on what they had been taught despite formal examinations not taking place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
